2017 Means A New Me

My intentions for next year is I want to talk more in class and also stop being shy everywhere. The reason I want to stop being shy is that when my mom wants me to ask someone from a store for help since she doesn't talk english well I don't want to do it so she has to force me if I'm the only one there with her. I want to talk in class because then I can say my opinions and my thoughts that I have about a topic that the teacher is telling us in class. I want to able to talk to new people or people that sit next to me because then i won't be shy to talk to others and ask them for help on something that I don't understand. I will start to talk once or twice a day in some classes and sometimes more if I feel confident enough to talk in front of the whole class. I think talking more will show the kind of person i am at home and when I'm around my friends.

How Technology has Impacted our Lives in a Negative Way

Have you ever wondered how Technology has impacted our lives in a negative way? Most people think that it makes life better, easier but in reality many people's lives have changed because of this.
Many people are getting injured because of technology. About 1.6 million crashes happen because people are texting and driving. Making 330,000 injuries of the people that were texting and driving. Most of these accidents are caused by teens that can drive and adults. 34% of people have admitted to be texting and driving when the crash occurred. 13% of the people were people from ages 18-20 admit to have been texting and driving.
Teens that have phones and are always on it even at night don't sleep as many hours as they should be sleeping. Teens need about 9 to 9 ¼ hours of sleep but they sometimes get 7 hours or less. Some teens don't sleep at all at night because they spend their times on their phones. When your phone wakes you up from a peaceful sleep it will start to make you lose Melatonin which are hormones that control our sleeping and waking cycle. By people reducing Melatonin it starts to make it harder for people to go to sleep or sometimes stay asleep. Sometimes if you watch a movie before going to sleep or even just texting someone goodnight your brain will make you think that you still need to stay awake. The light that your phone provides mimics the daylight. Causing people to wake up tired, anxious, and depressed.
With technology always around us we don't communicate as much as we used to with the people around us. When there wasn't a lot of technology back then people would talk to each other if they were waiting even if a person was a stranger. But now people spend most of their time talking on the phone or just doing something on their phones and don't bother asking someone how their day is going that is next to them. People should at least try to talk to others around them instead of always being on their phones.
Technology has also affected people's educations. People that like to be on their phones all day don't do their homework and don't learn everything that they need to know. Sometimes kids have their phones with them during the school day and try to use it as much as they can. Sometimes kids forget about their homework because they just spend their whole time after school on their phones.
I did a survey on the kids in my school. The first question I asked was how many hours do they spend on technology. The highest someone spends on technology in my school is a whole day. The other answers were 10 hours, 8 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, 5 ½ hours. Another question I asked was how many hours do you sleep. The lowest was 6 hours and the highest was 10 hours the other answers were 9 hours, 8 phours, and 7 hours.
Another question was how long can you go without your phone. 3 people said 30 minutes, 1 person said 1 hours, 3 people said 3 hours, and 2 people said other. The last question was do you think technology is bad for you. 10 people said it's not bad and only 2 people said yes.

The $100 I Got For Christmas And A Big Teddy Bear I Got For My Birthday

When it was Christmas morning my,other went into my brothers room and mine and gave us $100 each, I was so happy because I would be able to buy what I wanted for a long time.

Also for my birthday I got a big Teddy Bear from my dad. I was in my room talking to my friends when the doorbell rung and my dad came in with a teddy bear. I was happy because I always loved to have and stuffed animals because they are soft and I just always loved them.

My Favorite Quote

What this quote means to me is that many people seem sad and that once someone smiles at them they smile too.
When I would see my friends or family sad I would always try to make them smile because I dmt like to see people sad.

What I am grateful this year

I am grateful for having a home to live in and stay warm, clothes, shoes, and everything that I need. What I'm mostly grateful is my family because they take care of me and provide for me. Also they love me as much as I love them. My family gets me through tough times and also supports my decisions even if they don't think that, that is the correct one. I'm grateful for having my family and everything that I have now. I'm also grateful for my friends because they help me with problems and they also support me and I love them like they love me. I will never stop being grateful for my family because they are the best thing that ever happened to me.

My Thoughts and Feeling About the Election

This election is not bringing everyone closer it making everyone go against each other. I don't think that's it fair that Trump won because the citizens had to vote for someone to decide if they would vote for Trump or Hillary. I kind of do want to be more involved in politics to know what's going on but then again I don't cause then I might get more focused on that when I'm supposed to be focused on. I won't be voting the next election because I still would not be old enough to vote. But I am excited because some of my friends will be able to vote the next election. Some issues I find important is the immigration because Trump wants to send all the Mexicans that came to the U.S.A illegally even if they have worked hard on earning money from the job that they do. I just didn't like this years election at all.

My Mother Hitting an 18 Year Old That Runs Onto the Street

Last year, a women named Mariana was picking up her two kids from her sisters house. Her kids names are Natali who is 12 years old and Jose who is 16 years old. Mariana drove two streets before turning the corner to go back to her house. When Mariana turned the corner she had just gained a little bit of speed when a kid runs out on the street. Mariana steps on the brakes as hard as she can to stop the car. Mariana told her kids "I just hit a kid with the car,"Mariana got out of the car to see if the kid was ok.
      When she got out she  saw that the side mirror on the drivers side had completely flown off the car. She saw that the kid was sitting in the curb of the street. Mariana had to move the car since there was other cars waiting behind her car. Once she was parked she got out of the car with her kids. After a few minutes passed the cops came with the ambulance and the fire department. The nurses went to check the kid that was hit and the cops came to ask Natali and Jose where they were in the car and other things while another cop asked Mariana some questions.
       After a while the cops took Mariana. The kids aunt came and took them back to her house since their mom was taken and their dad was still working. After an hour or two the kids father came to their aunts home to try and see if they would let their mom out. After waiting some hours Mariana called to say how much they need to pay to get her out which was $100 or more. The family of Mariana gathered the money and one of the family member of Mariana went to the police station to get Mariana and bring her back.
         A few days later after they got Mariana out, Mariana had to go to court to see what would happen. Once court finished they found out that it was the kids fault and that the kid was 18 years old. Kids do you want to get hit by a car? Parents do you worry about your kids getting hit by car? Always remember kids that you should look both ways before crossing the street.

The Best Day of My Life Was:

The best day of my life was when I went to Mexico because I finally got to see my grandma in person instead of always seeing her through pictures or video calls. I was always with my grandma and her boyfriend and also my little cousin that went with me to Mexico. I was so excited because I would see how my parents grew up and how different it was from theU.S. It was kind of different because the streets were mostly made out of rocks and there were many hills. The ocean water was very salty and it burned your eyes. The sun was also very hot and if you didn't put sunscreen then you would get burned really bad. I actually kind of liked it better over there then over here because you could walk alone in the night and also if you could reach the petals of the car then you could drive. Mexico was the best days of my life.

The Old Me

When I was young my favorite movies were The Lion King, Bambi, Bolt, and 101 Dalmatian. I loved these movies because I loved animals and the animals in the movies talked and they had such a fun time which made me happy. I even have stuffed animals of Bambi, Simba, and Nala. These were my favorite characters from all of the movies because they both had a best friend that they would always be happy around and in the end they would be together because they cared about each other. I also liked these movies because i always liked to watch movies that had animals in them because i had a connection with the movies.

Some Tips For Blogging (Only 2)

Use images:

You should use some images to show what you mean if you can't explain it well. If you use images you can put funny ones if you want your audience to laugh and want to go on your blog to always see funny images. But make sure that you don't put images that are inappropriate for schoo, because your teachers will see then and you could get in big trouble. 

Read and Comment: 

Sometimes you are always waiting for your buddy to comment back on your blog or you are waiting for them to post a new blog. But you should always take some time to read other people's blog so that you learn different things. You might not know them but they would be happy to see a new comment about a good job they did or maybe some feedback about how they did.

The Outsiders a Good Book I Think Everyone Should Read

       The character that I choose to focus a on while we read outsiders is Cheery because since the beggining she sounded like a such nice person because she wasn't mean to any greaser if they didn't do anything to her. I don't think that Cherry changed through out the book because she always wanted to make sure that the greasers and socs didn't hurt one another for no reason. I like that she didn't care if the greasers where different than her she treated them the same even if her boyfriend didn't like that. What I kind of didn't like about her was that she didn't see Johnny I know that it must have been hard for her to even hear his name when Johnny was the one who killed Bob but she could have gone to see him and say that it wasn't his fault to his face. 

        A song I think that would represent Cherry is When You're Gone by Avril Lavigne because this represents Cherry when she looses Bob when Johnny kills him.

My Fun Trip to Mexico

I have gone to Mexico last summer and it was such a fun trip. I got to meet all my family and let me tell you there were many of them. I went to Mexico when I was younger but I don't remember since I was only a few months old. So this summer I got to see all of my family member that I didn't know. I got to see Mexico and it was fun even if it didn't really like to talk. I think that over there was so much better than it is here because you can go everywhere alone when it's late in the night. You can even drive at the age of 7 if you can reach the petals. But they usually drive a 4-wheeler and they drive alone and go everywhere. I hope I get to go next year because it was so much fun.

The Book I Had to Read For Summer When I Didn't Want To Read

Beast keeper

Blog #1

  I am currently reading Beastkeeper which is written by Cat Hellisen. This would mostly be about the main character Sarah. Sarah tried not to talk to any kid in school. Or try to stand out. She never thought of making friends because she knew her family would move to a warmer area, when her parents start to take it out and labeling them. But all that changed after Sarah's parents left her and her father.  She felt as if it was her fault her mother left. She always listen to your parents before mother left, but now she's walking through the area her parents told her not to walk through and talk to strangers.

Here is some evidence about what I told you about Sarah. On page 9 it says "Sarah never went out of her way to make friends anymore, or stand out in her classes." This proves that Sarah didn't even try to make friends or be the center of attention.  On page 9 the author says "It's was one of the things she told herself every time the plastic storage containers came out of the garage." This tells us that she already knows when her and her family are leaving. In the text it says " My mother left, and the night she left, she was talking about how she couldn't deal with it. With me." This proves that Sarah feels it's her fault her mother left. The author wrote "Her parents had told her she must never walk that way as people could be hiding in the bushes just looking for a girl like her to steal, and the warning had made her all the more determined to take that path. Especially now. " This  shows that Sarah didn't go to that not – a – forest until her mother left. I'm page 16 it says "Or maybe it's just some stupid high school kid,' She said, Sarah wasn't far from high school herself, but she didn't quite trust the ones who had moved on. The battle lines were firmly drawn, as far as she was concerned. The boy frowned. 'I don't go to school,' He said. 'I'm Alan. Who are you then?" This shows that everything changed when her mother left.

Blog #2

 This blog will be about the conflict that Sarah is facing. So the first problem that Sarah is facing is that both her parents left her. The next problem is that she doesn't know what the curse on her family is about. These problems show that Sarah is facing are with other people she knows. She then finds out that her grandparents have the curse and it goes from generation to generation. The problem of her parents leaving her she thought it was her fault. Another problem she faces is that Alan is the enemy due to the curse.


 Here is some evidence of all the problems that Sarah is having. I'm page 33 it says "My mother left and now her father was saying the same thing with different words." This shows that Sarah thinks it's her fault her parents left. In page 97 it says "What happened to my grandfather – now that my mother is gone is it happening to my dad?' 'Undoubtful.' Said the raven 'He will begin to change, faster and faster, until all his human side leaves him." This proves that the car is continue. In the text said "Oh. I suppose that makes us more than a maze." This tells us to Alan and Sarah are enemies due to the curse.

Blog #3

 This last blog will be all about the theme of the book. But I believe the theme of the book is 'if you want to stop and pick something don't stop trying' I believe this is the theme because of what happens in the book. Inpage 101 it says "I'll find them. I'll fix it."This proves th at the theme is to keep on trying. I can connect to this because I always keep on trying life. 

Where I See Myself In The Future

The personal goals I have for now and the future is finishing school. Graduating from high school and moving on to college. After college I want to go to the veterinarian school for 4 years. I also want to get a house where it's a good enough space. I want to be a vet because I always wanted to help animals since I was small. 10 years from now I see myself graduating veterinarian school because for college it's usually 4 years and for veterinarian school it's another 4 years or more. I also see myself getting the job of veterinarian and buying/ renting a small home for now.

I see my career as being a vet because since I was little I always wanted to be because I wanted to help animals. What I see in my life in the future I see myself having a happy, healthy life. I also see myself having a boyfriend/ husband. I don't see myself having kids at the moment because I want to enjoy my life for a while before having kids. Some dreams I have or had was being able to go everywhere in the world. Also being able to have a family even if it was a little one. A dream I have now is graduating and finishing school.
